Jelly Roll

from mother kossman very old recipe this seems that it would need butter but it doesnt have it on recipe card , im writing recipe just as i found it for family . the instructions on how to roll are good . iknow that they had a long flat pan for jelly rolls

Ingredients

• 1  cup sugar
•  salt, pinch
• 3  egg yolks
• 1  cup flour
• 1  teaspoon baking powder
• 2  tablespoons water

Directions

1. method.
2. bake in slow oven
3. cut off edges
4. spread with jelly and roll.
5. have powdered sugar spread on towel which cake is turned out
6. roll while warm.
