Ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1⁄4 cup molasses
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3⁄4 teaspoon clove
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3⁄4 teaspoon ginger
Directions
- Beat together Shortening, Sugar, Egg and Molasses.
- Sift together and stir in Flour, Salt, Soda, Cloves, Cinamon, Ginger.
- Form in ball the size of a walnut and roll in sugar.
- Place on cookie sheet 2" apart. (Do not mash down.).
- Bake at 350 approximately 13 min depending how crispy or chewy you want.
