Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1⁄2 cup whiskey, Jack Daniels
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1⁄4 cup vinegar
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1⁄4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine onion, garlic and whiskey. Simmer over medium heat for about 7 minutes or until onion is translucent.
- Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Puree in food processor or blender.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 day to blend flavours.
