  1. Set racks in middle and upper part of oven. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together.
  3. Mix flour and baking powder together. Add to butter mixture, mixing well.
  4. Stir in 1/2 cup water and mix to form dough.
  5. Roll on floured board to about one inch thick.
  6. Cut in pieces about 2 inches by 1 inch.
  7. Roll each piece in sesame seeds.
  8. Arrange pieces on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
  10. Cool on wire rack.
  11. Store at room temperature in airtight tin or plastic container.
