Island Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients
- 4 -5 cups wild blackberries
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup boiling water
Directions
- Spread the berries evenly in a 9x13" baking dish. In a large mixing bowl cream together sugar and softened margarine. Add salt, flour and baking powder alternately with milk. Drop this batter by spoonfuls over the berries. Mix together 1 cup sugar and cornstarch and sprinkle over the batter. Pour boiling water evenly over all. Bake at 375* for 45-60 minutes, or until top is light brown and berry juice is starting to set. Serve cobbler at room temperature.
