Irish Stew

Ingredients
- 1 lb lamb stew meat
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 2 1⁄2 cups turnips, diced
- 1 1⁄2 cups carrots, chopped
- 1 1⁄2 cups diced potatoes
- 2 medium onions, in wedges
- 1⁄4 cup quick-cooking tapioca
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 3 cups beef broth
Directions
- Brown lamb in cooking oil. Drain off fat.
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours.
