Indian Chick Peas

Ingredients
- 2 cups canned chick-peas
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups dried onions, reconstituted and drained
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 cup diced tomato
- 1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
Directions
- Drain garbanzo beans, reserving their liquid.
- In a frying pan, heat the butter and sauté until lightly golden.
- Add the seasonings and tomatoes and cook 10 minutes longer.
- Combine tomatoes and beans in saucepan. Add chicken broth and 1 cup of reserved liquid to cover.
- Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Serve hot.
