Ice Cream Sundae Dessert

Ingredients

  • 12  ounces  semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) package  crushed  vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine, melted
  • 2  quarts vanilla ice cream or 2  quarts  flavor of your choice ice cream, softened

Directions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt chocoate chips with milk and salt; cook and stir until thickened, about 25 minutes.
  2. Remove from the heat; set aside.
  3. Combine wafer crumbs and butter; set aside 1 cup.
  4. Press remaining crumbs intoa greased 13x9x2 inch pan.
  5. Chill for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Pour chocolate over crumbs.
  7. Cover and freeze 20-25 minutes or until firm.
  8. Spread the ice cream over chocolate.
  9. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
  10. Freeze at least 2 hours before serving.
