  1. Mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 3 cups of water; ratio is 3:1. Add the berries to a large bowl and pour in the vinegar-water solution until entirely covered – if not add more solution. Let them soak for 5 minutes.
  2. Transfer them to a colander, rinse thoroughly under cold water and drain for a few minutes.
  3. Place berries in a salad spinner lined with paper towels and spin until completely dry. The other alternative is to place a clean towel on the counter and blot them gently to dry up any excess water.
  4. Store berries in a container lined with paper towels in a single layer. If there’s more, lay more paper towels between each layer of berries. Cover the top layer with more paper towel and tuck it inches Place a lid on top slightly offset so they can breathe and transfer them to the fridge until needed.
