Hot Water Pastry

Yields: 1 pastry shell
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup lard
- 1⁄4 cup boiling water
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking powder
Directions
- Place lard in warm bowl, pour boiling water over it. Cream together with fork. Sift together Flour, Salt and Baking Powder. Gradually add into lard mixture. Mix thoroughly. Refrigerate until cold. Roll out on floured board. Bake in 450 degree oven for 12 minutes.
