Hot 'n Hearty Potatoes

A recipe from Hellman's which calls for "real" mayonnaise. Haven't tried it with any other type. I usually make this as a side for burgers and baked beans. Sometimes I substitute onion powder for onions as my family is picky about onions. Decrease salt if you'd like; amount below is given in the original recipe. Show more

Directions

  1. In large skillet over medium heat, cook onions in margarine 2-3 minutes.
  2. Stir in mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir with whisk until smooth.
  4. Add potatoes; continue cooking, stirring constantly, about 2 minutes or until heated through (do not boil).
  5. Garnish with parsley and bacon.
