Hot Buttered Orange Brandy

Inspired by Hot Buttered Rum #6888, but a desire to find a substitution for rum. Some good orange brandy seemed like a good idea for the substitute.

Ingredients

• 2  tablespoons brown sugar
• 4  teaspoons butter
• 1  dash ground cinnamon
• 1  dash ground nutmeg
• 1  dash ground cardamom
• 1 1⁄2 cups water
• 1⁄2 cup orange brandy
•  orange slice (optional)

Directions

1. In a container that will hold 2 cups final hot liquid and pour easily, add together the brown sugar, butter, and spices.
2. Stir in the warm water.
3. Cook for about 2 minutes full power in the microwave, or until steaming hot.
4. Stir in the Orange Brandy.
5. Serve in cocktail glasses garnished with an orange slice.
