Hot Beef Dip

Yields: 3 1/2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1⁄2 cup onion, chopped
- 1⁄4 cup bell pepper, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 1⁄2-3⁄4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- sliced ripe olives (optional)
Directions
- Brown beef with the next three ingredients. Drain well.
- Add next 4 ingredients and combine. Stir in the refried beans.
- Heat, stirring frequently until hot.
- Top with the cheese and olives (if using).
- Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
