Horse Race Pie

Serves: 8-10
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons Bourbon
- 1 cup white corn syrup
- 1⁄2 cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup whole pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Beat eggs.
- Add sugars, vanilla, bourbon, corn syrup, butter and flour. Mix thoroughly in mixer. Make sure butter is not too hot or it will cook the eggs in the mixture.
- Put pecans and chocolate chips into bottom of unbaked 10" pie shell. Deep-dish pie shell will be too big.
- Pour filling on top and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Serve warm (but not too warm or will be gooey)with whipped cream.
