Horse Muffins

This is my daughter's recipe to make treats for her horse.

• Yields: 12 muffins

Ingredients

• 1  cup buttermilk
• 1  cup oatmeal
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1  teaspoon baking soda
• 2  teaspoons baking powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1  cup applesauce
• 2  cups whole wheat flour

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients well.
3. Fill greased or paper lined muffin pan with batter.
4. Bake for 18 minutes.
