Honey Fruit Bars

Yields: 1 9x13inch pan

Ingredients

  • 1 13 cups flour
  • 1  teaspoon baking powder
  • 1  cup honey
  • 1 34 cups  pitted chopped dates
  • 12 cup  halved  candied cherry
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 3  eggs (beaten)
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 1  cup  chopped  nuts

Directions

  1. Beat eggs, add honey and vanilla.
  2. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together.
  3. Add dates, nuts, and cherries.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Bake in greased 13 x 9 pan 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until browned.
  6. Cut into bars when cool and roll in powdered sugar.
