Honey-Apple Cider Vinaigretee Dressing

Sweet with bits of shallot to balance the flavors. Great on a plain salad or a grilled chicken salad. Adjust the amount of honey for your preference, I like mine a little sweeter. I make the recipe with unfiltered apple cider vinegar, not sure if regular would change the flavor. For the oil, use whatever you like best in dressings, personally I think that olive oil is too strong; I usually use a safflower oil or just a canola blend. Show more

Directions

  1. Combine honey and mustard and mix in hot water until honey is dissolved, mix in remaining ingredients. Chill and serve! The longer the shallots sit in the dressing the less onion flavor they have. Everything can be adjusted to taste!
