Homemade Taai Taai

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup liquid honey
- 1 cup water
- 3 1⁄3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon of spirits anise or 1 tablespoon anise
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
- nonstick cooking spray
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in a large pan. Remove from heat.
- When contents are at room temperature, add remaining ingredients. Thoroughly mix together using a wooden spoon.
- Spray a jelly roll pan with cooking spray.
- Spread dough on pan and bake for 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Cool on pan and cut into 2" squares.
- Store in air-tight container.
