Homemade Soft Taco Shells

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1⁄2 cup cornmeal
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1⁄2 cups cold water
Directions
- Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth.
- Fry slowly on a griddle or in large frypan in small amounts of cooking oil. Using a ladle, pour and swirl into a desired size circle. Let fry until the top is dry, then flip for a minute or so to set the other side. If they turn out like crepes, make the shells thicker.
- Fill with your favorite ingredients. We use seasoned hamburger, tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese, green peppers, olives.
