Homemade Pasta/Pizza Sauce
Ready In: 10 mins
Serves: 15
Yields: 60 oz
Ingredients
- 30 ounces tomato paste
- 30 ounces water
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 1⁄2 tablespoon onion flakes
- 1⁄2 tablespoon pepper
- 1⁄2 tablespoon salt
- 1⁄2 tablespoon sugar
Directions
- Empty tomato paste into a large bowl and add equal parts water.
- Stir with a large spoon until smooth. You may want to use a masher to make it easier to get the clumps out.
- Add all of your spices to your sauce. The measurements are just a starting point, as you may need to change the measurements according to your taste. The spices in the sauce are what make it great, but the amount of each is up to each individual's taste. Make sure to do several taste tests as you go!
- Depending on what you're using the sauce for, you may need to simmer the sauce on the stove.
- This recipe yields a lot of sauce, so either store or freeze for later use.
