Homemade Oatmeal

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 4 cups oats
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a pot except oats and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Add oats.
- Allow to sit for about 10 minutes, stirring about half way through.
- Serve immediately.
- For variations try adding chopped nuts or dried fruit.
