5-Ingredient Homemade Kahlua

This is a recipe for homemade Kahlua which was given to my grandmother by a Canadian friend of hers, years ago.

• Yields: 3 26 oz. bottles

Ingredients

• 4  cups water
• 4  cups sugar
• 1⁄2 cup instant coffee crystals
• 1⁄4 cup vanilla extract
• 26  ounces vodka

Directions

1. Bring water and sugar to a boil.
2. Add to coffee crystals just enough water to dissolve them.
3. Add coffee to water and sugar and boil for 5 minutes, being careful not to let it boil over.
4. Cool completely, then add vanilla and vodka.
5. Mix well.
