Homemade Cracker Jacks ( Copycat )

Yields: 5 quarts
Ingredients
- 5 quarts popped popcorn
- 2 cups peanuts, unsalted
- 2 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 cup dark molasses
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- Combine sugar, molasses, and water in saucepan and bring to soft ball stage.
- (235 degrees) Take off heat and add baking soda.
- Mix popped corn with peanuts and pour sugar mixture over all and stir until coated evenly.
