Home-Style Mexican Rice

Ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 cups water
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
- 1 tablespoon dried onion
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper (to taste)
- 1 1⁄4 cups rice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Directions
- Combine water, bouillon granules, onions and all spices in a 2 quart pot.
- Bring to a boil and add rice.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and cook until rice is tender and water is absorbed, about 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in cilantro and serve.
