Holiday Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Another great recipe from my mother's recipe box. These cookies are great. This does not make a doughy batter, but they come out just fine. These go over well at Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. I've taken them to potlucks. You can use different colored candy pieces and have them at halloween and New Year's. Show more

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Stir in oats, raisins, walnuts, and candy pieces.
  6. Drop by tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
