Holiday Eggnog Pie

People who like eggnog will really like this.

Ingredients

  • 1 (9 inch)  pie crusts
  • 1 (3 ounce) package vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
  • 14 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 12 cups  eggnog
  • 2  tablespoons light rum or 2  tablespoons  rum flavoring
  • 2  cups  whipping cream, whipped
  •  nutmeg

Directions

  1. In medium saucepan combine pudding mix, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and eggnog; mix well.
  2. Over medium heat, cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in rum; cool thoroughly.
  4. Beat until smooth; fold in whipped cream.
  5. Spoon into pie shell.
  6. Garnish with additional nutmeg to make it look nice.
  7. Chill 4 hours.
