Hickory Smoked Burgers With Caramelized Onions

Yields: 6 Burgers
Ingredients
- 3 lbs ground chuck, 80/20
- 3 sweet onions (Vidalia)
- 1⁄4-1⁄2 cup butter
Directions
- Melt butter in frying pan and add sliced onion. sauté until caramelized but don't burn them.
- Spread Ground Chuck until very flat. Cold smoke for 20 minutes using whatever wood you prefer. I use Hickory Wood Pellets. See video on Youtube to see how.
- Make patties how every you like. I use a burger press and make them 6oz.
- Grill burgers to your liking. Slap on Bun and top with Caramelized Onions and whatever you like. Enjoy.
