Herring in Tomato Dressing

Ingredients
- 1 -24 ounce pickled marinated herring in wine sauce, drained
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons tomato puree
- 2 -3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons wine vinegar
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
Directions
- Place herring in a bowl dissolve sugar in the water and mix with the vinegar, tomato puree and onion. Pour this tomato dressing over the herring and garnish with mustard and cress.
