Helen's Milk Chocolate Toffee Bars

Delicious bars that will melt in your mouth!

Ingredients

• 0.5 (1 stick)  unsalted butter, softened
• 1  cup  tightly packed brown sugar
• 1  large egg, at room temperature
• 2  teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 1 1⁄4 cups  unbleached all-purpose flour
• 1  teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 cup  milk chocolate chips
• 1⁄2 cup  toffee pieces

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients except chocolate chips and toffee bits, add them last.
