Healthy Dried Fruit Sprinkles

You can use this instead of sugar to sprinkle over hot or cold cereal, toast, etc. Adapted from the program Helping Your Child Eat Well from 3ABN. Enjoy! Be sure to use dried fruit that is not too moist and sticky or it will not grind well. Show more

Yields: 1 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 12 cup unsweetened coconut (if you can't find unsweetened, sweetened works well too)
  • 12 cup  raw  almonds
  • 12 cup  dried fruit (such as raisins or dates)

Directions

  1. Place almonds and coconut in food processor and grind until very fine. Add dried fruit and process until finely chopped. Keep in a covered container or zip lock bag in fridge.
  2. Use in place of sugar over hot or cold cereal.
