Healthier Spaghetti Carbonara

Simple creamy pasta without the eggs or cream. A favorite in our house. Bacon can be used instead of ham, in which case you will need to fry the bacon first. You may wish to add peas. Show more

Directions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
  2. Saute onion and garlic in large pan.
  3. Stir in ham; heat through.
  4. Add evaporated milk.
  5. Bring to a boil; reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Add drained, cooked spaghetti to pan.
  7. Add parmesan cheese; top with parsley.
  8. Serve immediately.
