Hawaiian Tea Sandwiches Filling

I've eaten pineapple and cream cheese sandwiches before so I can't wait to try this combo.

  1. In saucepan combine pineapple and sugar. Bring to boil. Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
  2. Cool. Stir in nuts.
  3. Soften and mash cheese with enough milk or mayonnaise to make a good spreading consistency.
  4. Combine with pineapple mixture.
  5. Spread on thin bread, top as sandwich.
  6. Trim and cut into squares.
