Hawaiian Shiitake Shooter

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups chopped shiitake mushroom caps
- 1 1⁄2 cups chicken broth or 1 1⁄2 cups vegetable broth
- 1⁄2 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
Directions
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add mushrooms and cook, stirring, until caramelized, 4-5 minutes.
- Add broth, milk, hoisin sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar and bring to a boil.
- Transfer to a blender or use an immersion blender and puree until smooth.
