Hard Candy
Ready In: 5 hrs
Yields: 1 jelly roll pan
Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2⁄3 cup light Karo syrup (corn)
- 3⁄4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon flavoring, Lorann Flavor
- powdered sugar
- food coloring
Directions
- Mix sugar, syrup and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar discolves. Boil without stirring until 310 degrees. Remove from heat. Stir in Flarvor and color.
- Pour on lightly greased cookie sheets. Cool (5 hours or overnight) and break.
- Optional: Sprinkle powdered sugar on harden candy to minimize stickiness.
