Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs beef flank steak, cut into thin slices and pounded
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
- cooked rice noodles
Marinate with
- 1 teaspoon ginger (julienned)
- 3 cloves garlic (cut in halves)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Toppings
- 1⁄2 lb dry roasted peanuts (smashed in mortar and pestle)
- 1 lb bean sprouts (blanched in hot water)
- 1⁄2 head lettuce (chopped)
- 1⁄2 cup basil
- 1⁄2 cup cilantro
- 1⁄2 cup mint
Directions
- Heat 2 tblspns oil in frying pan.
- Add 2 cloves of chopped garlic.
- Add beef and fry.
- Serve beef over:
- rice noodles, herbs, lettuce, bean sprouts.
- Top with:
- peanuts and add Nuoc Mam Cham sauce.
