Hampshire Fruit Cobbler

  1. COBBLER.
  2. Generously butter a casserole dish.
  3. Place fruit in a medium bowl, add sugar to taste. Spread fruit in the buttered casserole dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine eggs, sugar and vanilla.
  5. Add sifted dry ingredients to egg mixture alternately with the sour cream, then beat until the batter is smooth.
  6. Pour batter over the fruit, then bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with the sauce.
  8. SAUCE.
  9. Blend sour cream iwth the lemon juice and nutmeg.
