Hamburger Steak With Onion Gravy

Ingredients
- 3 lbs hamburger meat
- 1 yellow med to large onion
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 dash ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 1⁄2 cups beef broth
- 1⁄3 cup milk
Directions
- Chop onion
- Sautae onion in 1 T. of olive oil over medium high heat for about 5 mins.
- Add 3/4 of the onion, 1 T. worcestershire sauce, 1 egg, a dash of ground cumin and salt and pepper to the hamburger meat and mix well with hands.
- Form into 6 patties (oval shaped).
- Heat 1 T. spoon of olive oil to each batch of patties (3 patties per batch in pan).
- Add 3 patties to pan and cook for 4 - 5 mins on each side over med heat until browned and juices run clear.
- Drain 3/4 of the greace, leaving all the browned bits on bottom of pan.
- Add remaining sauted onions 1 T. soy sauce and 3 T. of corn starch to pan and let cook over med heat for 1 minute.
- Slowly wisk in 1 1/2 cup of beef broth and 1/3 cup of milk.
- Turn heat down to med low and wisk until thickened about 10 mins adding water if gets too thick.
- Add all the hamburger patties to the gravy and let it baste for about 15 mins before serving over low heat.
