Hamburger Steak and Gravy

This is a really yummy recipe for hamburger and gravy.

Ready In: 40 mins

Yields: 6 patties

Ingredients

  • 1  lb ground beef or 1  lb  ground round or 1  lb  ground chuck or 1  lb  ground sirloin
  • 12 cup evaporated milk
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 18 teaspoon pepper, plus extra
  • 18 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 cup flour
  • Gravy

  • 14 cup  drippings or 14 cup butter
  • 14 cup flour
  • 2  cups water
  • 3  teaspoons  beef bouillon

Directions

  1. Mix ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, and milk.
  2. Form into patties, they will be loose.
  3. Mix flour with as much pepper as you like.
  4. Dredge patties in flour mixture on both sides.
  5. Place in hot buttered pan.
  6. Cook for 3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove patties.
  8. Save any drippings that remain and add enough butter to make a 1/4 cup of drippings.
  9. Add flour and cook for a couple minutes.
  10. Add water and bouillon.
  11. Add patties back to gravy and cook on med-low for 20 minutes.
