Hamantaschen Dough (Aka Hamantashen / Oznei Haman)

I found this excellent, pareve, hamantash recipe on a forum for Jewish women. This dough is very easy to work with and makes a crisp cookie. The cookies freeze very well. Show more

Yields: 60 cookies

Ingredients

  • 3  eggs
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 34 cup  oil
  • 13 cup  apple juice or 13 cup  orange juice
  • 5 -5 12 cups flour
  • 1  tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 18 teaspoon  almond extract (optional)
  • 1  tablespoon baking powder

Directions

  1. Beat eggs and sugar until creamy.
  2. Add oil and beat. Add juice and extracts. Add baking powder. Gradually add flour until it becomes a good dough consistency.
  3. Fill with favorite filling and shape.
  4. Bake at 350°F on lined baking sheet for about 10 minutes (until bottom is golden).
