Guiltless Turkey Burger

I got this recipe from Juan Carlos Cruz on FoodNetwork.com. This burger packs so much flavor you would never know that it was good for you!! The original recipe calls for watercress leaves, but I have never used them. In my opinion, you can leave them out or go with the original. Show more

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, onion, bell pepper, egg whites, watercress (if using), teriyaki sauce, and jerk seasoning until well blended.
  2. Form 6 equal patties with turkey mixture.
  3. Heat a non-stick griddle over medium-high heat and spray with canola oil. Place each patty on griddle (may need to do it in batches) and cook for 3 minutes on each side. **You can also cook these on an outdoor grill for the same amount of time**.
  4. Spread 1/6 of the mayo over each bun. Place burger on bun and top with tomato slice.
  5. Enjoy!
