Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 1⁄2 cup sugar or 1⁄2 cup Vermont or Canadian maple syrup
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 16 ounces dark rum
Directions
- Bring water to a boil in saucepan.
- Dissolve sugar in boiling water.
- Stir in rum and lemon juice.
- Carefully pour drink into heatproof glasses or mugs containing 1 cinnamon stick each.
- Serve hot.
