Directions

  1. Make the Chipotle Mayo:
  2. Add all ingredients in a food processor and puree. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Keep chilled.
  3. Make the burgers:
  4. In saute pan over low/medium add olive oil, onions, and a pinch of salt. Cook the onions stirring occasionally for 3 minutes. Add chopped garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. In large bowl combine, ground turkey, worcestershire sauce, chopped cilantro, salt and black pepper to taste and cooled onion and garlic mix.
  6. Mix ingredients with your hands and shape into 4 uniformed sized patties. With your finger make an indent in the center of each patty (this will prevent the burgers from puffing up in the center while cooking).
  7. Place burgers on cookie sheet and place in the freezer for 15 minutes. This will prevent the burgers from falling apart on the grill.
  8. Preheat indoor or outdoor grill to high. Grill the burgers for 5 to 6 minutes per side. Add cheese slices the last 3 minutes of cooking and cover loosely with foil.
  9. Serve on toasted whole grain english muffins with any or all of above toppings.
