"grilled" Ranch Bread

Yields: 2 loaves

Ingredients

  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet  dry ranch dressing mix (Hidden Valley is good)
  • 2  loaves  French bread or 2  loaves  Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise (1 pound each)

Directions

  1. Cream the butter with the dressing mix; spread evenly on the bread halves.
  2. Place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, until golden and the butter begins to seep and bubble.
  3. Serve hot.
