Grilled Italian Pesto Sandwich

Yields: 4 sandwiches
Ingredients
- 1 (6 ounce) package sliced mozzarella cheese, cut in thirds
- 8 slices Italian bread
- 1⁄4 cup pizza sauce (commercial)
- 1⁄4 cup pesto sauce (commercial)
- 20 slices pepperoni
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 6 ounces ham slices
Directions
- Arrange 1 cheese slice on slice of bread. Spread with pizza sauce. Top with cheese slice and spread evenly with pesto sauce. Arrange pepperoni and ham slices on top and top with remaining cheese slice. Top with remaining bread slice. Repeat 3 times.
- Spread half of butter on one side of each sandwich. Invert sandwiches on hot griddle or non stick skillet.
- Cook over medium heat til browned.
- Spread remaining butter on second side of bread, flip and cook til done.
