Green Tea Sorbet

Adapted from Gourmet Magazine. I haven't tried it yet so let me know how it is...

Ready In: 10 mins

Yields: 3 cups

Ingredients

  • 3  cups water
  • 2 12 tablespoons  good quality  green tea
  • 34 cup sugar, plus
  • 2  tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. Bring water to boil, add leaves, and remove from heat.
  2. Steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  4. Strain through a fine sieve.
  5. Chill tea, covered, until cold and freeze in an ice cream maker.
