Green Beans and Bacon Onion Dressing

Ingredients

  • Bacon Onion Dressing

  • 12-34 lb green beans, fresh
  • 1 -2  slice bacon
  • 2 -3  tablespoons onions
  • 1  quart water
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  •  salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Prepare Bacon Onion Dressing. Cut bacon into 1/4-inch pieces.
  2. Sauté in a small skillet over medium -low heat until limp.
  3. Add onion.
  4. Sauté until bacon and onion are cooked through and tender.
  5. Wash beans and break off ends.
  6. Leave whole or cut into 2-inch lengths.
  7. Combine water and salt in a medium saucepan.
  8. Bring to a full boil.
  9. Drop beans into boiling water.
  10. Reduce heat to a slow boil.
  11. Cook, uncovered, about 7 minutes or until beans are tender.
  12. Drain immediately.
  13. Toss with Bacon-Onion Dressing.
  14. Add salt and pepper.
