Green Bean Casserole Stuffed Mushrooms

This unusual recipe is perfect for a thanksgiving dinner appetizer

  1. cook bacon until crisp.
  2. add garlic and cook 1 minute longer.
  3. place green beans, 1/2 cup cheese, soup, water, nutmeg, pepper, and bacon mixture in a food processor and process until blended.
  4. transfer to a small bowl and fold in breadcrumbs.
  5. remove stems from mushrooms and discard.
  6. spray mushroom caps with cooking spray.
  7. place in a baking pan and bake on 425 for ten minutes, turning once.
  8. drain liquid from caps.
  9. fill with green bean mixture.
  10. top with remaining cheese and french fried onions.
  11. bake ten minutes longer.
