Greek Rice Pilafe

a nice side dish to any meal!

Serves: 8-10

Ingredients

  • 1  lb ground beef
  • 6  cups  uncooked rice (uncle ben's original)
  • 8  ounces  bell peppers in tomato sauce
  • 2  garlic cloves (chopped or minced)
  • 1  medium onion (chopped)
  •  salt and pepper
  • 34 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 34 teaspoon allspice
  • 34 teaspoon clove, powder
  • 12  cups water

Directions

  1. brown beef with onion & garlic.
  2. add tomato sauce.
  3. add spices & water.
  4. add rice.
  5. pour into large baking pan.
  6. cover and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
  7. add more water if needed.
