Great Oatmeal Cake

Ingredients
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1 1⁄2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Frosting
- 2 tablespoons soft butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3⁄4 coconut
- 1⁄2 cup milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease 9 x 13 pan.
- Stir together quick oats and boiling water, stirring until no lumps form. Let cool onto refrigerator.
- Beat together the sugars, eggs, butter, and eggs.
- Then add the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
- Blend them well, then add cooled oatmeal and blend well.
- Bake at 350 in a greased 9 x 13 pan.
- Frost cake while hot. Once frosted, enjoy!
