Grandpa's Pumpkin Pie

Yields: 1 pie
Ingredients
- 9 inches pie crusts, unbaked
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon clove
- 1⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ginger
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450*.
- In a large mixing bowl combine eggs, sugar, salt, and spices.
- Beat well then add the pumpkin and milk - beat well again.
- Pour into pie shell and bake at 450* for 10 mins then reduce heat to 350* and bake for 40-45 minutes.
- Pie is done when knife inserted in center comes out clean.
- Serve with homemade whipped cream.
- We use my canola oil pie crust recipe# 193951.
